I brought my wedding dress to Melissa in the hopes of taking it from a zip back to a corset and having it taken up. From the very first meeting Melissa was extremely helpful and knew exactly what I wanted. She made me feel comfortable and walked me through the entire process making sure I was happy with each option and change she could make. With each try on of my dress I felt more and more confident.
Melissa was happy for me to have as many try ons as I wanted, and made sure I was 100% happy before cutting, sewing or changing anything on the dress. If I felt like I needed more support on top; or the dress taken up or in she was straight on it, and was able to keep all the details on the dress.
My dress had a long train and it only had a wrist strap to hold it up, when I mentioned that I was concerned Melissa created the most amazing bustle, she used the floral appliqué’s on my dress to hide the attachments.
The skirt could then be folded away for the moving/dancing easily.
I also utilised Melissa’s wedding day service where she came with my dress the morning of the wedding, steamed it and helped me get into my shoes and dress, meaning that I had a quiet, stress free time. She helped me calm down when I got stressed and made sure everything was perfect with my dress before I left for the ceremony.
Melissa made me feel so confident in my dress and I felt like a pretty princess. I would 100% recommend her to anyone needing wedding dress alterations. Thank you so much Melissa ❤️
